We're currently recruiting a Customer Success Assistant to join the onboarding team! Are you passionate about delivering great customer service? Do you like a fast-paced, dynamic working day? Do you love gaming and tech? Do you want to help introduce children (and their parents) to the diverse, exciting world of coding? If any of this sounds like you then you're exactly the sort of person we're looking to join the team!

Our mission is to introduce children (and grown-ups) to the diverse world of coding by running exciting, online clubs with individually tailored challenges and games. As a Customer Success Assistant, you’ll use the tools we give you, as well as your infectious enthusiasm, to help inspire young people to develop their love of coding and technology.

WHO WE ARE

The Code Zone runs exciting coding clubs for children aged 6–16. We're an award-winning edtech company that makes learning to code genuinely fun, through game-making, creative projects, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. We run online clubs with over 1,000 members every week, as well as local clubs across Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. Think less 'boring IT lesson', more 'after-school gaming club where you accidentally learn to code.'

Our ideal candidate:

  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Loves working with children and helping them learn new skills.
  • Great at communicating and able to make learning fun.
  • Strong IT literacy.
  • Confident around children.

Duties:

  • Handling inbound and outbound communications.
  • Onboarding new children (and grown-ups) into our Game Dev clubs.
  • Helping children get onto the platform, with common pre-session tech issues.
  • Assisting in the running of the online platform, including replying to messages from children.
  • Running live online clubs when needed.

Must-haves:

  • Super friendly.
  • Reliable and professional.
  • Infectious enthusiasm.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Previous Customer Service or sales experience.
  • Be based in the UK and hold the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have's (not essential):

  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience with CRM software.

We provide:

  • Full training program and support.
  • All mentors will require a DBS check, which we will do.
  • A great sense of achievement getting children ready for our growing technical world.

Benefits:

  • Casual dress.
  • Remote working.
  • Involvement with a successful and fast-growing start-up.
  • Joining a friendly, like-minded team within a relaxed company culture.

Start Date: ASAP

Part-time hours: 20 hours a week Monday - Friday 3pm - 7pm (option to move to full-time if position becomes available)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £13,520 per annum (£27,040 FTE pro rata), based on 20 hours per week

To Apply: Send us a short cover message telling us why you'd be a great fit and a bit about yourself & a CV covering your work experience and qualifications to date.
