Position Overview: The Senior Director, Total Rewards - Europe is a key member of both the Europe HR Leadership Team and the Global Total Rewards Leadership Team. This role serves as the principal advisor on rewards strategy to senior business and HR leaders across Europe, with accountability for shaping and delivering a competitive, compliant, and future‐ready Total Rewards agenda designed to specifically support the Europe Operating Unit. This role owns key regional rewards decisions and trade‐offs across a complex, multi‐country European landscape, balancing competitiveness, affordability, risk, and reputation in a highly regulated and visible environment. The role ensures strong alignment with global frameworks while exercising judgment and leadership to reflect regional market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and workforce needs. Europe plays a critical role in shaping enterprise approaches to governance, pay transparency, equity, and innovation, and this position is a key contributor to global thought leadership in these areas. The Senior Director leads a team of two (2) Total Rewards Directors and partners closely with Global Total Rewards, People & Culture, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to drive strategic impact, operational excellence, and innovation in rewards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Total Rewards Strategy & Enterprise Advisory
    • Set and continuously evolve the Europe Total Rewards strategy aligned to enterprise priorities, business strategy, and workforce needs.
    • Serve as the trusted advisor to Europe Operating Unit leadership on reward‐related decisions with significant financial, regulatory, and reputational impact.
    • Translate business and talent priorities into forward looking rewards strategies that support growth, transformation, capability building, leadership development, organisation effectiveness and evolving workforce models across Europe.
    • Represent Europe as a key contributor to global Total Rewards strategy, bringing forward insights, innovations, and regulatory learnings that shape enterprise‐wide approaches.
    • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, including pay transparency, EU regulatory developments, and evolving workforce expectations.
  • Program Design, Governance & Compliance
    • Oversee the design, governance, and continuous evolution of compensation and benefits programs across Europe.
    • Ensure all programs are competitive, equitable, cost‐effective, and compliant with country‐specific regulations and EU directives.
    • Lead governance frameworks that balance global consistency with necessary local flexibility across markets.
  • Performance, Insights & Financial Stewardship
    • Partner closely with Finance to align rewards investments with business performance, budgets, and long‐term value creation.
    • Lead recommendations on rewards investment priorities and trade‐offs, balancing affordability, competitiveness, equity, and risk across diverse European markets.
    • Leverage data and analytics to assess program effectiveness, market competitiveness, and return on investment.
    • Work with the Global Rewards Delivery team to execute the annual compensation planning cycle, including salary reviews, incentives, and benefits costing.
    • Develop clear, insight‐driven narratives to inform decision‐making.
  • Employee Experience & Delivery Excellence
    • Shape and evolve the Europe Total Rewards operating model, clarifying roles, decision rights, and interfaces across global, regional, and local teams.
    • Work with the Global Rewards Delivery team to ensure a seamless, high‐quality employee experience across all Total Rewards programs.
    • Drive simplification, digitization, and process excellence across rewards operations.
    • Strengthen communication strategies to improve understanding, transparency, and engagement.
  • Leadership, Capability & Transformation
    • Lead, develop, and inspire a high‐performing Total Rewards team across Europe.
    • Build capability within HR and business partners to effectively deliver and communicate rewards programs.
    • Sponsor and lead transformation initiatives, including new operating models, tools, and ways of working.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and enterprise thinking.
  • System & External Engagement
    • Collaborate across The Coca‐Cola system, including bottling partners, to build partnerships and share best practices.
    • Build external networks to stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes.
    • Represent the Company in relevant industry forums and benchmarking activities.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.

Related Work Experience

  • Extensive experience in Total Rewards, including compensation and benefits leadership preferably across multiple European markets.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in compensation and benefits field (with specific experience of international program delivery).
  • Minimum of 5 years in a role with consulting/influencing.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic advisor to senior executives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Deep understanding of European regulatory environments, including pay transparency and cross‐border considerations.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience linking rewards to business and financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success leading transformation and driving change at scale.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.
  • Track record of building and leading high‐performing, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience working within global organizations with strong alignment to enterprise frameworks.
