I'm currently recruiting for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Castle of Brecon Hotel, part of the Coaching Inn Group. This is not simply a kitchen management role. We are a busy, events-driven destination hotel in the heart of Brecon, delivering:

  • Micro weddings and private celebrations
  • Conference and banqueting events
  • Seasonal tourism peaks
  • A growing restaurant reputation

I'm looking for a commercially minded Head Chef who can:

  • Execute high-volume weddings and functions with precision
  • Lead and develop a strong brigade
  • Control GP and kitchen systems confidently
  • Elevate food quality and consistency
  • Work collaboratively in a high-performance leadership team

Experience in hotel banqueting or busy events venues is essential. You must be able to demonstrate event cover numbers, brigade leadership and sound commercial awareness. This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a destination venue kitchen and shape its next chapter.

If you're ready for a serious leadership role in a multi million pound Castle hotel restoration in one of Wales' most iconic market towns — or know someone who is — I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
