About the Role

Working closely with our Head Chef, you will play a key leadership role in delivering refined modern British cuisine inspired by the Norfolk coastline and crafted using exceptional local produce. From Cromer crab and Brancaster mussels to Norfolk-reared meats and locally smoked fish, our menus celebrate seasonality, flavour, and creativity. As Senior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen operation, driving standards, mentoring the team, and ensuring every guest receives a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head Chef with the overall management of the kitchen
  • Leading the kitchen team during service and maintaining high standards throughout
  • Assisting in the creation and development of seasonal menus
  • Training, mentoring, and motivating junior chefs
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and food cost awareness
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety standards
  • Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation, and service
  • Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
