Overview
In this role you will help shape secure technology across Co-op by providing expert security architecture guidance from early design through delivery. You will work with cross-functional teams to embed security by design, assess risks, and promote standards that ensure secure, resilient solutions. The position offers visibility, impact, and collaboration across Architecture, Cyber Security, Engineering and Product to deliver trusted technology.

Responsibilities
- Review architectures and designs to identify security risks and recommend controls
- Provide security guidance and assurance across project lifecycles
- Embed security-by-design with architects, engineers, product teams and stakeholders
- Develop and promote security standards, patterns and best practices
- Assess emerging technologies for security risks and resilience
- Support governance processes with expert input on risk mitigation
- Build relationships with internal teams and third-party suppliers as trusted security advisor
- Keep up to date with cyber security trends to drive continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Significant experience in cyber security, security architecture, security engineering or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of cloud, networks, infrastructure and secure solution design
- Experience reviewing designs and providing security assurance and risk-based guidance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex challenges
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence at all levels
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams in complex tech environments
