Overview
In this Lead Financial Insights Analyst role, you will partner with the propositions and finance teams to turn data into actionable insights that improve performance. You’ll support performance reporting, forecasts, and strategic planning across the food retail business, highlighting risks and opportunities. You’ll build and present analyses to leadership to drive informed decisions. This position blends finance, analytics, and storytelling to shape outcomes in a member-owned, people-first organization.

Responsibilities
- Provide value-driven analyses and data modelling to support the propositions team and business performance
- Collaborate with business leaders to deliver detailed reports, financial plans, and insightful analyses
- Identify and embed risks and opportunities into forecasts with clear financial impact
- Perform reconciliation and variance analysis across business areas on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly cadences
- Support leadership communication to enable informed decision-making and narrate performance
- Conduct trial analyses and support for key projects including test-and-learn analyses
- Monitor new techniques and market signals to improve insights and regularly report on economic changes
Key requirements
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or in final stages of qualification
- Experience in insight, analysis, or FP&A with strong budgets/forecasts knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with hypothesis-driven methods and advanced Excel
- Strong communication skills for presenting to financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment and drive continuous improvement
