We are looking for a Web & Platform Developer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and collaboration. This is an agency-side role. You will work across multiple projects at different stages - from new builds driven by strategy and wireframes, through to ongoing optimisation, troubleshooting and improvements. If you enjoy building things properly and sticking around to make sure they keep working, you will fit right in.
Responsibilities
- Building custom websites and platforms based on clear strategies, wireframes and content plans
- Working closely with design, marketing and strategy teams to turn ideas into working solutions
- Managing and maintaining live websites - fixing issues as they arise rather than parking them
- Supporting server environments and hosting setups (performance, security, uptime)
- Troubleshooting technical issues across multiple projects in real time
- Improving speed, stability and scalability across client platforms
- Showing confidence in talking to clients and partners
Technical Skills
- HTML5 / CSS
- JavaScript
- PHP
- SQL
- WordPress (custom themes, plugins, CMS configuration)
- General server and hosting knowledge (AWS a big thumbs up)
Nice to have (not essential)
- Git (Bitbucket or similar)
- Frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Vue.js)
- SASS
- Composer
- Node / NPM
- REST APIs
Bonus points if you have experience with
