The Role
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced.
- Assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification, ensuring high‑quality dishes.
- Source necessary ingredients and small equipment items, and minimise wastage.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, following safe food handling practices.
- Report directly to the Head Chef and participate in departmental meetings.
- Perform any tasks assigned and assist during busy periods.
- Communicate and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience & Skills Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards.
- Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.
Schedule
- We operate a 7‑day a week business, between 06:00 to 23:00.
- Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours – weekends and bank holidays.
- Evening availability for functions (until 02:00).
