The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a professional and fast-paced kitchen environment.

In this role, you will assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification, ensuring high-quality dishes. You will help source necessary ingredients and small equipment items and minimise wastage. Consistently maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation is key and you'll ensure safe food handling practices are followed. You will report directly to the Head Chef, participate in departmental meetings and perform any tasks assigned. Additionally, you will assist during busy periods, communicate and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience at a prestigious golf and country club whilst upholding our exceptional food, beverage and service standards.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred

Schedule:

  • We operate a 7-days a week business, between 0600 to 2300
  • Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours - weekends and bank holidays
  • Evening availability for functions (until 0200)
