We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Food and Beverage Manager for a 196-room hotel located at a vibrant location in London and offering a lot of exciting projects to be involved in! The hotel is part of the award-winning German-based Motel One Group. Join our team and grab this unique opportunity!
The hotel lounge is currently under renovation and final completion is expected by the end of July 2026. The first stage of this role will be fully focused on the rebranding projects, so full involvement in contacting local suppliers, pricing menus, proposing new ideas, and monitoring trends to implement will be key in the first phase. You will be the key person taking care of the official opening of this lounge restaurant along with the Hotel Manager and FB Team. A lot of energies, enthusiasm, and positivity will be the main elements to work with together!
Responsibilities:
- Previous experience with direct involvement in rebranding projects such as building from scratch bar/restaurant menus including contacting suppliers, getting quotations, menus pricing proposals, dish presentation, and monitoring of guests' response/feedback until final implementation.
- Producing duty rosters and holiday schedules - this department is operational, therefore every job is not Monday to Friday but Monday to Sunday including the head of department.
- Looking after and advising guests in the Motel One Lounge, as well as all associated tasks.
- Achieving the Motel One Lounge sales budget.
- Providing a seamless, rapid service and implementing the Motel One service concept “One Smile”.
- Conducting internal coaching and cross-trainings, as well as organising development training courses for Service staff.
- Ordering food, beverages and spirits and taking inventory at the end of the month.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with direct involvement in rebranding projects such as building from scratch bar/restaurant menus including contacting suppliers, getting quotations, pricing, presentation, and monitoring of guests' response/feedback until final implementation.
- Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel/catering industry or be looking for a change of career.
- Enjoy developing employees – management experience beneficial.
- Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry.
- Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations.
- Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together.
