Leatherhead β 3 days per week + UK & European travel
Join a well-funded, award-winning British CleanTech scale-up that has developed a technology already being used by major organisations across the UK and internationally.
The Product
Our client has developed a battery and solar-powered transport refrigeration unit for refrigerated trucks and trailers.
Traditionally, refrigerated trailers rely on a separate diesel engine to keep goods cold while they're being transported.
This technology removes the need for that diesel engine, using battery power combined with integrated solar panels to provide the refrigeration needed to transport chilled and frozen goods.
For fleet operators, the impact is significant:
- Zero direct emissions from the refrigeration unit
- Up to 81% lower operating costs
- Removes diesel consumption from refrigeration
- Integrated solar helps extend battery operation
- Designed for real-world fleet operations
This gives major retailers, food producers and logistics companies a practical way to reduce operating costs and fleet emissions without compromising refrigeration performance.
The technology is already operating internationally, with major organisations across retail, food production and logistics using and trialling the solution.
The business has secured significant investment, built its own UK manufacturing facility and won multiple awards across innovation, technology and workplace culture.
The next stage is about scale - expanding within existing customers, increasing fleet-wide adoption and continuing international growth.
The Mission
This is a strategic Account Management role focused on growing existing enterprise customers.
You'll take successful trials and initial deployments and turn them into larger, long-term fleet rollouts.
You will:
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts
- Build account plans identifying significant expansion opportunities
- Develop relationships across multiple stakeholders and senior decision-makers
- Lead complex, multi-million-pound negotiations
- Turn trials and initial orders into larger fleet-wide deployments
- Create and present commercial proposals
- Own your pipeline, forecasting and revenue targets
- Work closely with internal teams and regional partners
- Meet customers and attend industry events across the UK and Europe
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Account Manager who can demonstrate:
- 5+ years' Account Management experience
- A consistent track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience growing large strategic / enterprise accounts
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organisations
- The ability to build credibility with senior decision-makers
- A proactive approach to identifying and closing expansion opportunities
- Strong pipeline, forecasting and CRM discipline
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a business that already has the technology, funding, manufacturing capability and customer traction in place.
The focus now is turning that traction into significant commercial growth - expanding customer fleets, entering new markets and scaling internationally.
For an Account Manager who wants to own major customers, work on high-value commercial opportunities and join a business with genuine global ambitions, this is a brilliant time to join.
