We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role involving fabrication, assembly, MIG and TIG welding of metal components and structures in line with engineering drawings and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG, TIG and fabrication welding duties to required quality standards
- Fabricate, fit and assemble metal components and structures
- Work from engineering drawings and production specifications
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks using a range of equipment and machinery
- Carry out safety checks and complete production documentation accurately
- Work closely with production leadership to achieve production targets and deadlines
- Transfer materials throughout the factory where required
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Assist with problem solving and support other production areas when required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety within the workplace
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a welding and fabrication environment
- Competent in MIG and TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
