Quality Inspector – Engineering

£14.39 per hour

37 hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of our engineering client for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Slaithwaite. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Detailed inspection of components including first off, sample and final inspections
• Goods inward inspection of all outwork
• Checking raw materials against purchase orders
• Ensuring all gauges and measuring equipment are calibrated and maintained
• Recording defects and non-conformities and reporting to the relevant department
• Checking material certification against quality system requirements
• Identifying and reporting quality trends
• Effective communication at all levels
• Covering for other inspectors when required
• Carrying out in house training when needed

Key requirements

• Previous Quality Inspection experience within engineering preferred
• Good understanding of calibrated measuring equipment
• Able to work independently and use own initiative
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ideally based locally to Slaithwaite
