  • SHIFT PATTERN
  • 3 week rotating shift pattern (average 40 hours per week)
  • EXAMPLE
  • WK 1 Days: Wednesday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
  • WK 2 Nights: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00pm to 8:00am
  • WK 3 Split Rotation: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, Thursday and Friday,

** Two paid 15 minute breaks, one unpaid 30 minute break per shift.

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment.
  • A valid Counterbalance FLT licence. Refresher training can be provided if required.
  • Previous experience safely loading, unloading and moving materials using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
  • A good understanding of stock control, material handling and warehouse procedures.
  • Experience using barcode scanners or computerised stock control systems.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including holiday cover and occasional weekend working when required.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety, 5S and continuous improvement principles.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • A reliable, self motivated and committed approach to work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, unload and accurately locate stock within the warehouse and production areas using the barcode scanning system.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles safely using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
  • Pick, prepare and deliver raw materials, bought out components and work in progress to production in line with manufacturing requirements.
  • Replenish stock within production and Kanban areas to ensure materials are always available.
  • Complete ICS checks and accurately book finished goods into stock.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and assist with maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Prepare finished goods for dispatch, including palletising and shrink wrapping.
  • Ensure stock is stored safely, accurately and efficiently, making the best use of warehouse and production storage locations.
  • Carry out daily pre use checks on the Forklift Truck and report any defects.
  • Verify deliveries against delivery notes and report any damaged or missing items.
  • Maintain accurate stock movements using barcode scanners and computerised stock systems.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse and production areas.
  • Work safely at all times, following Health and Safety procedures and promoting safe working practices throughout all material handling activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining an organised, efficient working environment.
