We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role involving fabrication, assembly, MIG and TIG welding of metal components and structures in line with engineering drawings and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG, TIG and fabrication welding duties to required quality standards
  • Fabricate, fit and assemble metal components and structures
  • Work from engineering drawings and production specifications
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks using a range of equipment and machinery
  • Carry out safety checks and complete production documentation accurately
  • Work closely with production leadership to achieve production targets and deadlines
  • Transfer materials throughout the factory where required
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Assist with problem solving and support other production areas when required
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety within the workplace

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a welding and fabrication environment
  • Competent in MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Good maths skills and practical problem-solving ability
  • Flexible and reliable team player
  • Positive attitude with a “can do” approach

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in Fabrication & Welding Engineering
  • Coded welding certification
  • Experience working within lean manufacturing environments
