Warehouse Supervisor – Huddersfield Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm Full-time | No weekend work or overtime We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a well-established company in Huddersfield. This is a hands-on role, supervising a small team of 3 warehouse operatives whilst remaining actively involved in the day-to-day warehouse operations. The company offers a friendly working environment and is looking for someone who can take ownership of the warehouse, help improve processes and develop within the role. Key Duties: * Supervising and supporting a team of 3 warehouse operatives * Overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely * Managing goods in, checking deliveries and booking stock onto the system * Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch * Organising shipments and ensuring goods are dispatched accurately and on time * Handling and overseeing the movement of Dangerous Goods in line with safety procedures * Operating a forklift truck when required * Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation * Improving warehouse organisation, housekeeping and general working practices * Supporting and training team members to maintain high standards Ideal Candidate: * Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience * A hands-on approach, happy to work alongside the team * Valid FLT licence * Good organisational skills and attention to detail * Confident using computerised warehouse or stock management systems * Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be advantageous * Dangerous Goods training would be an advantage, although training can be provided * An in-date First Aid certificate would be desirable * A proactive attitude with the ability to identify and implement improvements * Someone keen to develop their skills and grow within the role Due to the nature of the business, applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check and detailed background screening, including employment referencing.
