The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.
As the company manufactures heavy fire doors, you must be physically fit and comfortable with the regular manual handling of large, heavy timber products.
Hourly rate dependent on experience.
- Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm
- 41.5 hours paid after breaks
- Overtime available
Initially, this is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, based on performance, reliability and business requirements.
Our client is a well established bespoke joinery manufacturer, producing high quality products for commercial interiors across the UK.
Their work includes reception desks, retail displays, counters, cabinetry, wall panelling, doors and bespoke furniture for sectors such as retail, offices and public buildings.
They are recognised for their high standards of craftsmanship and investment in quality manufacturing.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for loading and unloading machinery used to sand high quality doors and fire doors, ensuring materials are handled safely and production runs efficiently.
You will carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and work closely with the production team to ensure every product meets the company's exceptionally high standards.
ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling heavy products throughout the working day.
- A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work to consistently high standards.
- Able to follow written instructions and work accurately to production specifications.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work overtime and alternative shifts when required.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery.
- Experience loading and unloading machinery.
- Experience within the joinery, woodworking or door manufacturing industry.
