The predicted salary is between 13 - 17 £ per hour.

Pay & Hours

1st 6 months: £17.30 per hour, 40 hours paid per week, Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 5.30 pm. After training (approx 6 months): £17.92 per hour plus £3.18 shift allowance = £21.10 per hour, 44 hours paid per week, 6.30 am to 6.00 pm – 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern.

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings, measurement tools, and machining processes.
  • Mechanically minded, reliable, and confident working independently to high standards of accuracy and quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Set and operate high‑speed CNC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining tasks.
  • Carry out general operation and supervision of additional workshop machinery.
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures, and CNC programmes are available prior to production.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including component counts and scrap levels.
  • Uphold high standards of product quality and efficient output.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
  • Perform basic editing of CNC programmes and tool tables when required.
  • Take ownership of component quality and related documentation.
  • Check and replace tooling and cutters as necessary.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and components onto machines.
  • Check and refill lubricant levels.
  • Apply a strong understanding of CNC 3‑axis and 4‑axis machining and Renishaw probing.
  • Follow all company safety systems and operational procedures.
