Monday to Friday, 7:45 am - 3:45 pm (37.5 paid hours after breaks).

SUMMARY OF ROLE

As a Technical Manufacturing Operative, you will play a key role within a busy manufacturing environment, operating production machinery and supporting a variety of manufacturing processes. Duties will vary from cutting, stripping and crimping through to machine operation, product changeovers, quality inspection and recording production data, with soldering duties also involved where experience allows. This is a varied, hands-on role that requires good attention to detail, a practical approach and a willingness to learn new skills. You must be flexible in your approach, willing to support colleagues and assist across different departments as required, contributing positively to the overall success of the production team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience within a technical manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
  • Ideally, experience operating precision manufacturing machinery or automated production equipment.
  • Experience carrying out quality inspections and working to product specifications.
  • Experience using measuring, testing or inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions, specifications and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills and experience recording production information.
  • Experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to identify and report production, quality or equipment issues.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with cutting, stripping and crimping processes.
  • Hand soldering experience.
  • Experience carrying out machine set-ups, changeovers or production adjustments.
  • Experience within an electronics, cable assembly or technical manufacturing environment.
