The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a commercially focused Divisional Manager with strong leadership capability, technical credibility, and experience within the Oil & Gas materials and Metallurgy environment. This role will suit an individual who can lead a multi-functional team while building strong relationships across external customers and internal departments. This is a leadership role with responsibility for an experienced team across commercial and support functions, as well as accountability for divisional performance against commercial objectives. It will suit someone who can lead from the front, establish visible on site presence, and drive a connected, process-led approach across the function.
Ideal Qualifications / Experience
- Industry Experience: Strong background in oil and gas sector
- Commercial Leadership: Experience with profit, gross margin, and budget responsibility within a commercially led role.
- Customer & Project Understanding: Ability to work with major service companies, engineering organisations, EPC-linked supply chains, technically demanding customer requirements, and supplier network.
- Analytical Capability: Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, interpreting commercial and operational data to support decision-making.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience using SAP is highly advantageous.
- Management Experience: Proven ability to lead and develop teams across sales, administration, and quality-related functions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Education: Extensive technical knowledge or Degree-level education in Business, Metallurgy or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within the Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across the UK, Europe, and occasionally further afield as business needs require.
