The Ideal Candidate
- We are seeking a commercially focused Divisional Manager with strong leadership capability, technical credibility, and experience within the Oil & Gas materials and Metallurgy environment.
- This role will suit an individual who can lead a multi-functional team while building strong relationships across external customers and internal departments.
- This is a leadership role with responsibility for an experienced team across commercial and support functions, as well as accountability for divisional performance against commercial objectives.
- It will suit someone who can lead from the front, establish visible on site presence, and drive a connected, process-led approach across the function.
Ideal Qualifications / Experience
- Industry Experience: Strong background in oil and gas sector
- Commercial Leadership: Experience with profit, gross margin, and budget responsibility within a commercially led role.
- Customer & Project Understanding: Ability to work with major service companies, engineering organisations, EPC-linked supply chains, technically demanding customer requirements, and supplier network.
- Analytical Capability: Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, interpreting commercial and operational data to support decision-making.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience using SAP is highly advantageous.
- Management Experience: Proven ability to lead and develop teams across sales, administration, and quality-related functions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Extensive technical knowledge or Degree-level education in Business, Metallurgy or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within the Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across the UK, Europe, and occasionally further afield as business needs require.
- Language: Fluent in English.
