We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading the structural design of bespoke mezzanine floors, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with building regulations, and efficient project delivery. This role combines technical leadership with client and project interaction, making it ideal for a commercially aware and solutions-driven engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of mezzanine floors, platforms, staircases, and associated structures.
- Use design software (e.g. Tekla TSD, MasterSeries, AutoCAD) to produce accurate calculations and drawings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, projects, production) to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to interpret briefs and deliver compliant and efficient designs.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant codes (BS/EN standards, Eurocodes) and CDM regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
- Attend site visits and technical meetings where necessary.
- Support continuous improvement in design standards, technical processes, and innovation within the team.

Requirements
Essential:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' structural design experience in steel structures, ideally including mezzanines, platforms, or light industrial structures.
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building regulations.
- Proficient in structural design and analysis software (e.g. Tekla TSD, MasterSeries).
- Skilled in AutoCAD (Revit/3D modeling an advantage).
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Desirable:
