Due to an exciting redesign of our clinical pharmacy service, we have an opportunity for enthusiastic pharmacists to come and join our growing team! Prior experience in cancer care is not required as you will be fully supported and trained by our friendly, dedicated team; you do require a thirst to learn and a passion to deliver patient-centred care.
Clatterbridge is an exciting place to continue your clinical pharmacy journey in a purpose-built city centre hospital in Liverpool with state-of-the-art facilities, working within a cutting-edge clinical environment. This role represents an opportunity to develop and further progress in the rewarding specialty that is cancer care. The successful candidates will also receive mentoring and support to grow as a leader.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides excellent cancer care to patients across the North West (including North Wales and the Isle of Man). We have 3 site locations; the central Liverpool site and hub sites in the Wirral and Aintree. Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week which includes weekends. Contribution to the Bank holiday and on-call rota will be part of the post.
Main duties of the job:
- Work alongside medical and nursing colleagues, as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team to deliver direct patient-facing care on wards and in outpatient clinics.
- Be an integral part of your specialty oncology or haemato-oncology team as well as the wider pharmacy team.
- Have the opportunity to work within the Aseptic Production Unit, quality assessing and releasing chemotherapy and in our wholly owned subsidiary, developing leadership skills as the Responsible Pharmacist.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Good pharmaceutical care skills and knowledge.
- Knowledge of the changing NHS environment & government initiatives.
