The Clare School is looking to appoint a Care Team Member to join our warm and welcoming school, which was graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted at its last inspection. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Care Assistant who will support a whole range of children and young people throughout the school. Pupils at The Clare School have a wide range of learning, physical, sensory, communication and medical needs.
You will assist pupils who have reduced continence control with their toileting, cleaning and changing, and at all times ensuring that the pupils are comfortable and treated with dignity. You will also help pupils with their postural management such as supporting them with walking, using standing frames and supporting and encouraging them to participate in their physiotherapy routines. Part of this role will involve helping pupils with their feeding and drinking, including gastrostomy feeding. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
If you think you would make a difference to our pupils, we would love to hear from you. Tours of the school are encouraged. Please contact the office to register your interest. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Emma Collins.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it.
