Clapham Family Practice is a large, progressive, and supportive GP practice located in the vibrant area of Clapham, South London. We provide care to a diverse patient population of approximately 20,000 people and are proud of our reputation for delivering accessible, high-quality, and patient-centred healthcare.

We are currently seeking a Salaried GP to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality clinical care while contributing to service innovation and development within a well-structured, collaborative environment.

About the Role

You will work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, including GP partners, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. The practice operates a total triage system, ensuring efficient and equitable access to care.

Your clinical work will include:

  • Face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
  • Management of acute and chronic conditions, including complex and mental health cases
  • Home visits when clinically required
  • Processing prescriptions, test results, and clinical correspondence
  • Accurate record keeping using EMIS Web
  • Prescribing in line with national and local guidelines
Leadership and Development

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Take a lead role in specific clinical or disease areas
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and service evaluation
  • Support teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Participate in practice-wide initiatives including QOF, Enhanced Services, and governance activities
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a GMC-registered GP with:

  • Strong clinical skills across a broad range of presentations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience using EMIS Web (or similar clinical systems)
  • An interest in innovation, leadership, or service development (desirable)
  • A patient-focused, collaborative approach to care
