Our Senior Estimators work on civil engineering tenders, developing precise and competitive estimates for projects involving:

  • Earthworks
  • Roads
  • Sewers
  • Drainage
  • Utilities
  • Reinforced concrete structures

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing tender requirements, focusing on scope of works
  • Attending site visits and collaborating with the Bid and Operational Support Teams
  • Coordinating with Estimating Buyer on material costs and subcontractor quotes
  • Preparing estimates for self-delivery works and assessing subcontractor quotes for specialist works
  • Drafting bid assumptions, qualifications, and exclusions
  • Identifying project risks and compiling a risk register
  • Attending site visits on live projects to observe and discuss delivery of project in line with tender allowances

Expertise in civil engineering projects, with a focus on Clancy self-delivery works such as:

  • Earthworks
  • Roadworks
  • Kerbing
  • Footpaths
  • Sewers
  • Drainage
  • Pipeline construction
  • Concrete structures
  • Utility installations

Proficiency in Excel and experience using pricing software such as Conquest, Causeway, Candy, or similar is required. Familiarity with key contract terms and conditions, including NEC 4 and JCT ICE, as well as an understanding of measurement methods, particularly regarding rate inclusions, is essential.
