We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team working on the Thames Water framework, delivering critical water infrastructure works. This role is key to the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of mains renewal and rehabilitation programmes, while driving strong performance across safety, quality, programme, and cost.

You will lead project and site teams, manage supply chain partners, and work closely with planners to ensure works are delivered to plan and in line with Thames Water standards. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Managing the delivery of water infrastructure programmes, including mains renewal and rehabilitation works.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring works to achieve programme milestones and performance targets.
  • Working closely with planners to develop, maintain, and update project programmes, identifying risks and constraints early.
  • Leading site and project teams, embedding a strong safety-first and performance-driven culture.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Thames Water standards, CDM regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure quality, productivity, and value for money.
  • Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing effective mitigation measures.
  • Providing accurate reporting on progress, costs, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to support effective delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practice across the framework.

We would love to hear from you if you have proven experience managing projects within the utilities or water infrastructure sector, with a strong understanding of mains renewal and rehabilitation works. Experience delivering programmes within a regulated utility environment, ideally on live framework contracts such as Thames Water, is highly desirable.

You will be a confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop teams, while maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and performance. Strong planning and organisational skills are essential, alongside commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and forecasts. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage risk and change in a fast-paced environment will set you up for success in this role.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential, with a relevant construction or civil engineering qualification and SMSTS (or equivalent) considered advantageous.
