The Role

As Planned Works Supervisor you will be organising and supporting field resources in the day-to-day framework operations across a significant mainlaying programme. You will need to liaise with various stakeholders to monitor progress, maximise day to day organisation and competently plan and control all resources, ensuring all administration meets CDM and temporary works requirements.

Here are some of the activities that you'll get involved with:

  • Produce necessary CDM documentation such as CCP's, Permits, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for each scheme
  • Supervise site activities and execution of health and safety and quality audits
  • Promote near miss/hazard reporting and ensure issues raised are resolved and lessons learned are shared to embed a positive health and safety culture including zero harm and zero utility strikes
  • Understand the impact of third parties and ensure they are met during the delivery of the scheme
  • Work to minimise customer contacts by encouraging a right first-time culture and driving our teams to deliver service excellence to all customers and stakeholders
  • Attend commercial meetings to review performance, cost and performance improvement plans

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • An understanding of water quality regulations, experience of water mains construction and a desire to maintain the highest level of health and safety compliance.
  • A NRSWA Supervisor accreditation, SSST/SMSTS or IOSH training, Temporary Works supervisor training and a good awareness CDM.
