Apprentice starting salary of £12.00 per hour, which increases on completion of relevant qualifications.

The Role

We are excited to launch our Level 2 Traffic Management Apprenticeship programme in partnership with First for Apprenticeships, where you can develop your skills and grow professionally, setting a solid foundation for your future career. This 21-month programme will be delivered using a combination of:

  • On-site experience to gain practical skills
  • Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor
  • Industry-recognised training, delivered in the workplace and leading to an apprenticeship qualification

As an Apprentice Traffic Management Operative you will safely deliver, install, collect, exchange and maintain temporary traffic equipment (temporary traffic lights, signage, frames, sandbags and cones) and are responsible for helping commuters travel safely through temporary roadworks.

Here are some of the activities that you would get involved with:

  • Checking equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational
  • Recording any damage
  • Maintaining battery banks
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Managing checklists
  • Completing timesheets and risk assessments
  • Ensuring vehicles, tools and other equipment are maintained and ready to use
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, tidy and clean yard

As an apprentice for Clancy, we will set you up for success, ensuring you have the support and sufficient time to work towards your apprenticeship. You will also have opportunities to get involved with local community and social value activities across the business.

  • That you're at least 18 years of age and have a full manual UK driving licence
  • Happy to work 7.30am to 5.00pm
  • Great communication skills and a can-do attitude
  • Being a team player who is reliable and punctual
