We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor with a strong background in water network main laying. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors, and are comfortable with physically demanding tasks, and can perform well in all weather conditions.
Here are some of the daily activities you\’ll be involved with…
- Excavating and Laying new Clean Water Mains
- Butt welding and Electrofusion of new HDPE Mains
- Installation of Ductile Iron water mains and New Water services
- Undertaking Vehicle Checks, Risk Assessments, HAVS and Site photos Via depot net to ensure that any work undertaken is photographed for payment
- Checking equipment and systems are fit for use, maintained and fully operational
- Ensure strict adherence to all Clancy Group health, safety and environmental regulation

A full, clean driving licence and a valid NRSWA qualification are required. Candidates should have experience with main laying, installing HDPE and ductile iron mains, deep excavations, and confined spaces.
A strong awareness of health and safety is crucial, along with experience in underground service detection using tools like CAT and Genny. A CSCS card or equivalent is desirable, and experience with machine operation, such as 360 excavators, butt welding, electrofusion, forward tipping dumpers, ride-on rollers, inserting, and pipe bursting would be an advantage. Additional qualifications such as SHEA Water and First Aid certification would also be beneficial.
