We have an opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our HS2 team.

Working closely with the Project Manager and Works Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring activities are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…Carrying out engineering activities including setting out, surveying and dimensional checks in line with approved construction drawings and specifications Reviewing drawings and identifying technical queries before works commence Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), specifications and client requirements Producing and maintaining quality documentation, inspection records and as-built information Supporting the preparation of RAMS, task briefings and other safe systems of work Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and the HSEQ team to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently Identifying engineering issues on site and working collaboratively to develop practical solutions Providing technical input into construction planning, sequencing and progress reporting Monitoring quality control processes and supporting continual improvement across site operations Ensuring equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated and compliant Applying knowledge of CDM principles and supporting safe delivery of site activities We would love to hear from you if…You have 2–5 years' experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities or major infrastructure projects, with strong technical knowledge and experience of delivering works safely and accurately on site.

You are confident interpreting engineering drawings, resolving technical issues and working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Additionally, you'll have experience using Total Station and GPS equipment, with competence in Auto CAD required and Civils 3D experience being advantageous.

Experience producing as-built information, quality documentation and supporting Inspection and Test Plans would also be beneficial.

Along with experience of working on major infrastructure projects such as HS2, Crossrail, Tideway or similar is desirable, together with an understanding of CDM principles and quality assurance processes.

A valid CSCS Card, SMSTS qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential requirements for this role.
