We have an opportunity for a Streetworks Coordinator to join our team, supporting the planning, permitting and compliance of works in line with current legislation and client requirements. This is a key role ensuring works are planned effectively, permits are raised correctly and deadlines are met, helping to keep operations running smoothly and compliantly.

Key Activities

  • Raising and managing permits and notices using Aurora (Symology) in line with NRSWA and Department for Transport requirements
  • Monitoring permit conditions to ensure works are delivered within approved dates, times and traffic management requirements
  • Submitting variations, extensions, early starts and cancellations as required
  • Planning and coordinating works to minimise disruption to the public and surrounding areas
  • Raising urgent and emergency notices within required timescales and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with local authorities, utility providers and internal teams to avoid clashes and ensure efficient programming of works
  • Managing road space bookings and supporting effective scheduling of activities
  • Completing daily tasks and updates, including notice management and reporting requirements
  • Ensuring all statutory notices (start, stop, reinstatements etc.) are submitted accurately and on time
  • Working closely with Traffic Management teams to ensure alignment between permits and TM plans
  • Acting as a key point of contact for site teams, local authorities and stakeholders, responding to queries and providing updates
  • Monitoring performance and compliance to reduce the risk of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
  • Maintaining accurate records of all permits, notices and associated activities

Qualifications

You have experience in a streetworks, permits or coordination role, with a good understanding of NRSWA requirements and associated legislation. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are key, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience using systems such as Aurora (Symology) or similar would be beneficial, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including site teams and local authorities. A proactive approach and the ability to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes will set you up for success in this role.
