We have an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our team working alongside Scottish Water, supporting wastewater repair and maintenance activities across the network.

Leading a two-person crew, you’ll play a key role in delivering repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard, helping to keep essential wastewater services running while minimising disruption to customers and local communities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering quality work and is confident leading from the front in a fast-paced operational environment.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:

  • Carrying out wastewater and drainage repairs across the network
  • Undertaking excavation, repair and maintenance activities on sewer assets
  • Operating plant and equipment safely and effectively, including excavators below 10 tonnes
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with Streetworks requirements and client expectations
  • Supporting teams to minimise disruption to residents and the public
  • Completing work in line with health, safety and environmental standards at all times
  • Accurately recording information and updating management systems as required
  • Supporting investigations and responding appropriately to incidents or issues on site
  • Maintaining professional standards when interacting with customers, stakeholders and the client

We would love to hear from you if you have previous experience within wastewater, drainage or utilities environments, along with a strong understanding of excavation and repair activities on live networks. A Streetworks (NRSWA) qualification and experience operating excavators below 10 tonnes are essential for the role. We’d also welcome applications from candidates holding accreditations such as CSCS, NPORS or CPCS, alongside experience in areas including confined spaces, deep excavations, temporary works, abrasive wheels, manual handling and first aid. A full UK driving licence is essential, and towing experience would be highly beneficial.
