We have an opportunity for an Operational Planner to join our team working across the IMRDS Alliance on Anglian Water projects. This is a key role supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of both planned and reactive work, ensuring the right resources are in the right place at the right time. You'll be working closely with operational teams, helping to coordinate workloads, manage priorities and keep things running efficiently in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:

  • Developing and managing daily and forward work schedules in line with operational priorities
  • Balancing workloads and resource capacity to ensure efficient delivery
  • Monitoring performance and making adjustments to plans where needed
  • Working closely with Supervisors and operational teams to coordinate activities and reduce downtime
  • Using planning tools and systems, including Gantt charts, to track and optimise delivery
  • Supporting the team in meeting key performance targets around service, quality and risk
  • Ensuring planning activities align with processes, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Responding to customer enquiries in line with agreed service levels

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in a planning or scheduling role, ideally within utilities, construction or a similar operational environment. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where priorities can shift. Strong IT skills are important, particularly experience using planning or scheduling tools. You'll also be a clear communicator, able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and keep things moving in the right direction.
