The Role

Work orders rely on being planned successfully, and this is your opportunity to be there at the very start, mapping out what needs to be achieved. In this role, you will be acting as a Developer Services Planner, ensuring that operational activities are effectively scheduled and managed while providing excellent administrative support. You'll communicate with a variety of colleagues and customers to make sure requirements and expectations are clearly defined. These requirements will then need to be translated into accurate and concise work instructions for our operational teams, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Planning activities for operational teams using various systems
  • Monitoring work output from beginning to completion, ensuring progress is recorded and communicated regularly
  • Acting as the first point of contact for operations colleagues, helping to provide resolutions to any issues
  • Processing, raising, and closing traffic management, footway, road closures, notice, and permit requests

You have experience working in a fast-paced environment where you have assessed situations and made quick decisions. You should have highly developed organisational and communication skills, and enjoy dealing with a wide variety of people. Computer literacy and a customer-focused approach are essential for this role. Previous experience in planning or reinstatement processes within construction, utilities, or a similar industry would be beneficial.
