We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager to join our team, you'll play a key role in providing cost assurance across the contract, helping the wider team deliver projects efficiently, accurately and commercially. Working closely with operational and commercial colleagues, you'll provide valuable financial insight, ensuring costs are well managed and supporting informed decision-making throughout project delivery.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Providing cost assurance support to the wider operational and commercial teams
  • Producing weekly cost and revenue reports to monitor commercial performance
  • Managing journals and providing detailed cost information to the Commercial team
  • Analysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Taking ownership of the cost and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Working closely with the Commercial team to investigate queries and provide financial insight
  • Ensuring compliance with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) requirements and implementing effective financial controls
  • Producing financial reports and supporting commercial forecasting

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have previous experience in a Cost Manager, Cost Analyst or similar commercial support role, ideally within construction, utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering. Alternatively, you may be recently qualified with a degree in Business, Accountancy or Quantity Surveying and be looking to build your career in a commercial environment.
  • You'll have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised and confident interpreting financial data. Strong Excel skills are essential, including experience using formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience with cost forecasting, Power BI and an understanding of Quantity Surveying principles would be highly beneficial. If you don't already have experience in these areas but are keen to develop your skills, we'd still love to hear from you.
  • Most importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively, supporting colleagues and providing accurate financial information that helps projects succeed.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
