As a proud partner to Southern Water, we are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our team. This is a people-focused role where you'll lead by example, driving performance across Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Fleet, Operational Delivery and Customer Experience.
You'll be confident managing teams, ensuring compliance, and continuously looking for ways to improve how we work and the service we deliver. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
- Lead and inspire operational teams, always putting safety first.
- Ensure colleagues receive the training and support they need to stay competent and compliant.
- Promote a right first time approach to reduce rework and customer complaints.
- Plan and manage upcoming works to minimise disruption and avoid preventable issues.
- Review and approve contractor risk assessments and method statements.
- Carry out regular safety audits, spotting hazards and implementing improvements.
- Oversee vehicles and drivers, ensuring adherence to company standards and the Highway Code.

- You are a strong people manager, able to motivate teams and manage performance with confidence.
- Clear communication and diplomacy will come naturally to you, and you'll be comfortable making independent decisions, even when balancing client expectations with business priorities.
- Experience in a supervisory role within the utilities or water sector will be essential.
- A sound understanding of health and safety is also key, and ideally you will already hold an IOSH qualification.
- It would be an advantage if you also have NRSWA, SMSTS/SSSTS, or CDM training.
