We are innovative - That’s why we need people like you to help us. Due to continued growth across our UK Power Networks Alliance, we are looking to recruit experienced Electrical Fitters to support our works. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering smarter, greener power infrastructure while working on essential energy networks across London, Kent and Sussex.
This is a field-based role working within substations and electrical network environments, where you will help install, maintain and commission electrical equipment that keeps communities and businesses powered safely and reliably.
Here are just some of the activities you will be involved in:
- Installing metal containment systems including ladder rack, cable tray, trunking, conduit and associated fixings within new and existing substations in line with DNO specifications.
- Collaborating with operational teams, engineers and supervisors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Installing and terminating LV distribution equipment including panels, distribution boards and associated infrastructure.
- Fitting and connecting secondary electrical equipment such as lighting, sockets, isolators and control systems.
- Pulling, dressing, glanding and terminating steel wired armoured cables across a range of sizes.
- Carrying out inspection, testing and commissioning activities where required.
- Assisting HV Fitters and wider project teams during installation and maintenance works.
- Diagnosing faults and helping to complete repair and refurbishment works on electrical plant and equipment.
- Completing site documentation, test certification and asset records accurately.
- Working in line with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards, maintaining safe working practices at all times.
We would love to hear from you if you are a time-served electrician with industrial or infrastructure experience, ideally working within utilities, power distribution, rail or heavy engineering environments such as UKPN, National Grid or similar. You hold a Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
