The Role... At Clancy, we're proud to support Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks in delivering essential infrastructure across the region. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll use data, digital tools, and hands-on insight to help drive smarter, safer ways of working. It's a varied role where you'll grow your skills, get out on site, and make a real impact from day one.
Here are some of the activities you'll be involved in...
- Analysing data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
- Designing complex distribution infrastructure including Substation, Cable system and Overhead Line.
- Supporting teams with tools like Depotnet, Cable modelling, AutoCad and Revit.
- Managing various multidisciplinary stakeholders internally and externally.
- Getting out on site to gather on the ground knowledge of constructability, areas of engineering difficulty and key risks.
- Helping to embed digital tools and best practice across the business
You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working closely with colleagues across engineering, delivery, and digital.
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate...
- You're proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused, with a natural curiosity and a desire to learn.
- You're confident with data, know your way around tools like Excel and the entire suite of Microsoft tools, and you can explain your findings clearly to different audiences.
- You'll hold a BEng/BSc in relevant engineering discipline (Electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering etc.)
You’ll also need...
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A full UK driving licence (as site visits are part of the role)
- Ideally, a background or interest in utilities or infrastructure
