We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team supporting our Scottish Water contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your expertise in a hands-on role, partnering with operational teams to promote safe working practices, support colleague wellbeing and drive continuous improvement across a key water sector contract.
You'll be out on site, building relationships, providing practical advice and helping teams deliver work safely and efficiently.
This is a Scotland-wide role, with occasional UK travel where required.
Carrying out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
Providing professional Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice and support to colleagues at all levels across the business.
Advising operational teams, supporting the delivery of safety objectives and promoting best practice.
Contributing Health & Safety input into tenders, bids and operational planning.
Identifying opportunities to improve Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems, processes and performance.
Promoting proactive hazard reporting and positive safety behaviours across operational teams.
Supporting compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and company procedures.
You have significant experience in a Health & Safety advisory role and enjoy working closely with operational teams to provide practical, solutions-focused support.
You'll have a sound working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application within a construction, utilities, water or civil engineering environment, together with an understanding of environmental impacts and the importance of health and wellbeing in creating a positive safety culture.
You'll be confident influencing and supporting colleagues at all levels, promoting best practice and helping teams meet their legal Health, Safety and Wellbeing responsibilities.
A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential, along with Tech IOSH membership (or working towards Graduate IOSH).
A full UK driving licence is required, and you'll be flexible to travel across Scotland, with occasional UK travel and flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements.
