Overview
Experienced plant fitter seeking a role as Mobile Plant Technician. Based primarily across the GU, NW and SW postcodes, you will service and repair a wide range of construction plant machinery and contribute to keeping equipment running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain a variety of company plant assets, including towable equipment.
- Carry out timely repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service, both on-site and in the workshop.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the workshop supervisor and other team members.
- Assist colleagues across the Plant team as needed.
- Attend emergency breakdowns on-site when required.
- This is a hands-on, varied role that involves working across different sites and with a broad range of equipment.
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in plant maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent) and demonstrable hands-on experience maintaining construction plant equipment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving approach.
- Full, clean UK driving licence is essential for this mobile role.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and restore machinery quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting the wider team.
