Stores Person in Lenham

A well‑run store lies at the heart of our operation. Without a safe and efficient store, our technical teams cannot be successful and our clients are impacted. Within our stores we keep a range of stock to keep the operation running, such as pipes & fittings used in the gas industry. We need you to take charge and make sure all these items are stored safely, can be found easily and the records are up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate records of plant hire
• Take delivery of new stock, checking delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies
• Undertake regular and frequent inspections of store buildings and external storage compounds
• Maintain a safe and tidy store area in accordance with health & safety practices
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Assist with quarterly and full stock‑taking activities
• Loading and offloading of vehicles by forklift after completing forklift training

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Great organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable using technology, including store management systems
• Client‑focused with a ‘get it right the first time’ attitude
• Forklift licence an advantage
