We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Planner to join our Integrated Maintenance and Repair (IMR) team working on the Anglian Water Alliance. This is a pivotal role supporting both planned and reactive works, helping to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the customer at the heart of everything we do. Whether you already have planning experience or are looking to develop a career in planning, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow, with full training provided.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing in-day and forward schedules to support both planned and unplanned works
- Analysing data, forecasting demand, and balancing workload, capacity, and service levels
- Optimising resource allocation to reduce downtime and minimise last-minute changes
- Supporting operational teams by prioritising workloads and resolving scheduling issues as they arise
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused outcomes
- Ensuring customer communications are clear, positive, and professional
- Maintaining accurate planning data and systems, ensuring compliance with planning processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including the Traffic Management Act
- Supporting the delivery of safe and compliant connections to Anglian Water infrastructure

Qualifications

- Experience in planning, scheduling, customer service, or operational roles would be beneficial, though not essential, as full training will be provided.
- An awareness of water or wastewater networks, Streetworks legislation, or the Traffic Management Act would be advantageous.
- Motivated, adaptable individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
