This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who enjoys leading teams, managing multiple sites and playing a key role in delivering essential water infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with our client, operational teams and local stakeholders. The role will cover works across Cornwall, including Newquay and Truro, with a local yard being established to support the delivery of the programme. - Managing day-to-day site activities across multiple locations throughout Cornwall.
- Leading construction teams, subcontractors and operational resources to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating resources, materials and plant to support delivery in line with programme requirements.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality requirements and client standards.
- Managing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements across all site activities.
- Ensuring RAMS, permits, briefings and other site documentation are in place and being followed.
- Monitoring progress, productivity and quality, identifying issues and taking action to maintain programme.
- Working closely with Site Engineers and Project Managers to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Building strong relationships with South West Water, operational teams, local stakeholders and customers where required.
- Supporting effective communication across multiple sites and ensuring progress and issues are reported promptly.
- Supporting the set-up and day-to-day running of the local yard.
- Promoting a positive safety culture and high standards of workmanship across the delivery teams.
You have proven experience as a Site Manager or similar site leadership role, with a background in water, utilities or another operational environment. You'll be confident managing teams and subcontractors across multiple sites, with a strong focus on safe and efficient delivery.
Experience of working within the water industry would be highly advantageous, particularly where you have been responsible for managing works around operational assets, coordinating different teams and working to client and programme requirements. Strong Health & Safety awareness is essential, together with the confidence to ensure standards are maintained across multiple sites and to challenge where necessary. You'll also have strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public where required. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing changing priorities across a regional area. A SMSTS qualification, CSCS Black Manager Card and EUSR Water Hygiene are desirable. A full UK valid UK driving licence is essential.
