We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing Energy team. This is a permanent role within a future-focused sector, offering strong opportunities for professional development and career progression. You will be involved in innovative energy projects that help shape industry standards, working in an environment that actively encourages fresh ideas and original thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the PDD team to ensure robust quality plans are in place and approved by the UKPN Project Manager before contract finalisation.
- Conduct a minimum of 8 quality audits per month, with a stretch target of 14, depending on the number of live projects.
- Responsible for the NCR Register, including arranging and chairing meetings for closure or necessary escalations.
- Regularly update the Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Assurance Sheets, and CEP/Quality Plan for the Energy Division.
- Maintain a Defect Register for each project concerning subcontractors and manage issuing and follow-ups.
- Ensure timely circulation of Non-Conformance Close Outs & Lessons Learned to project teams within the Energy Division.
- Fully own and be accountable for the entire quality process management.
Qualifications:
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate extensive quality assurance experience within the energy sector, operating in roles comparable to a Quality Assurance Engineer or Clerk of Works. You will have a strong understanding of quality planning, assurance, and control, excellent organisational skills to manage multiple audits and updates concurrently, and outstanding communication skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders. You'll also bring the confidence to lead, innovate, and drive continuous improvement across quality processes.
