CK Group are recruiting for a Polymer Technologist on behalf of a leading multinational producer of household plastic products at their site in Cramlington on a permanent basis, offering a salary up to £35,000 per annum.

The Role: To contribute to the development of new products and provide technical support to customers.
It is desirable for the candidate to have an understanding of polymers, resins and surface coating/decorating technologies (printing, priming, embossing etc.) Responsibilities of a successful candidate: Evolution of existing products and processes Provide technical support and assistance for internal customers, external customers and suppliers Management of product evaluation and testing as agreed with departmental
manager.
Manage and control formulation changes in response to product and process requirements.
Ensure products comply with current regulations and quality requirements, through establishing control specifications and testing procedures.
Provide technical support and expertise for customers Candidate Requirements:
– Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD etc.) in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Material Science is essential.
– Previous industrial or post-graduation experience within polymer industry
