An exciting opportunity has arisen due to business growth for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join our client’s successful team in Edinburgh. Hybrid working is available after completion of probationary period. The successful candidate will manage a varied case load including RTA, EL and PL cases, ensuring the best possible recovery is made in relation to the heads of claim and that the appropriate policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities- Maximise income per case through recovery of damages to include hire, repairs, recovery and storage.
- Prepare and conduct the case thoroughly ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence.
- Report issues, problems and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.
- Deliver a level of Client Care in accordance with service level agreements.
- Mentoring and supervising junior members of the team.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
- Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
- Must be admitted in Scotland and have 2-4 years PQE.
- Understanding of credit hire would be desirable.
- Court litigation experience including an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court Procedures.
- In-depth drafting experience.
- Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts.
- Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim.
- Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives.
- Commercially aware.
- Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment.
- Cooperative and flexible approach.
- Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach.
- Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
