The City Recruiter is hiring on behalf of our client, a professional services provider in the Construction, Real Estate, Land, and Infrastructure sectors. Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead the growth of their London office. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new services, mentor surveyors, and work on high-impact projects in a dynamic and expanding business.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors, graduates, and office staff
  • Deliver a range of building surveying services, including expert witness, party wall matters, valuation, design, thermography, and project management
  • Develop and expand new services to drive business growth
  • Ensure high-quality, timely project delivery for clients
  • Mentor and support graduate surveyors in their professional development

What We're Looking For

  • RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree (preferred)
  • AssocRICS, MRICS, or FRICS (MCIOB may be considered with relevant experience)
  • 5+ years' experience in building surveying
  • Experience in expert witness, party wall, or project management (preferred but not essential – training provided for candidates with strong residential building pathology experience)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written skills for reporting, negotiating settlements, and presenting evidence
