Client Business Executive (CBE)
London, hybrid
About the Role We are looking for a talented and driven Client Business Executive (CBE) to manage key customer accounts as if they were their own business – delivering customer success, growth, and profitability. This role requires both technical expertise and business acumen, engaging with C-level executives at some of the leading service providers in the utilities market. As a leadership role, it will shape the strategic direction of the company and drive innovation in the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level management in 4 to 6 utility supply companies, helping them grow their business, optimize costs, and innovate.
- Understand the strategic and operational details of customers and the industry, leveraging company resources to achieve business objectives.
- Drive profit and revenue growth within your assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with a Customer Success Manager to ensure the effective technical delivery of solutions.
- Report directly to the General Manager and participate in quarterly business reviews and leadership discussions.
- Lead key customer accounts with a strategic mindset, contributing to company direction and growth.
- Oversee customer account profitability and licensing revenue.
- Work closely with internal teams including professional services, solution architects, pre-sales, and executives to drive account success.
- Contribute to internal improvement programs.
- Structure complex pricing models, including value-based pricing.
- Enhance the company’s reputation in the utilities market and ensure customers serve as strong references.
- Adhere to compliance policies and health & safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as required by management.

Required Skills & Experience
- Passionate about driving change in the energy sector.
- Strong background in Customer Success with experience engaging C-level management.
- Technical acumen with the ability to understand industry trends and business impacts.
- Experience in the utilities industry, particularly in energy or water retail/distribution.
- Knowledge of CRM, digital solutions, billing, and debt management.
- Experience working with enterprise software solutions.
- Exposure to consulting and professional services sales and delivery.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a value-driven approach.
- Creativity in problem-solving and co-innovation with customers.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Highly collaborative with a passion for fostering a strong company culture.
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with TAS targeted account selling and negotiation techniques (preferred but not mandatory).
