About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Fire Stoppers for ongoing projects across the Midlands, keeping you busy all year round. You’ll be working on commercial and residential sites, such as hotels, installing passive fire protection to stop fire and smoke spreading. This is agency work, so flexibility and reliability are key.
Responsibilities of a Fire Stopper:
- Seal gaps and service penetrations in walls, floors, and ceilings
- Install fire-rated products around pipes, cables, ducts, and structural joints
- Work to tested systems and manufacturer specifications
- Read drawings and follow fire compartmentation plans
- Complete on-site paperwork and quality checks to meet fire safety standards
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (or working towards)
- CSCS Blue or Gold Skilled Worker Card
- Manufacturer training (fire batt, mastic, collars, wraps)
- Knowledge of fire safety standards (BS 476 / EN standards)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
